BPSO Designation

As of June 2024, The Care Company is honoured to have received the Best Practice Spotlight Organization (BPSO) designation from the Registered Nurses Association of Ontario.

The BPSO Program is a dynamic partnership focusing on positively impacting patient care through evidence-based practices.

What is a Best Practice Spotlight Organization (BPSO)?

BPSOs are healthcare and academic organizations selected by RNAO/ through a request for proposals process to implement and evaluate RNAO's best practice guidelines. It is a dynamic partnership that focuses on making a positive impact on patient care through evidence-based practice. RNAO provides support to organizations that have formally agreed to implement and evaluate multiple RNAO best practice guidelines over a three (3) year pre-designation period.

What are Best Practice Guidelines (BPGs)?

Best practice guidelines (BPGs) are systematically developed, evidence-based documents that include recommendations for nurses and the interprofessional team, educators, leaders and policymakers, persons, and their chosen families on specific clinical and healthy work environment topics. BPGs promote consistency and excellence in clinical care, health policies, and health education, ultimately leading to optimal health outcomes for people and communities and the health system.
