Please join us in congratulating PSW Martha Walker for being chosen as Care Team Member of the month for December 2022. Martha has been a valuable member of our team for several years now.
In her quiet way, she has been providing care to a lovely couple who depend on her support to help them stay in their own home. Recently, the husband of this couple suffered a stroke, and Martha recognized the seriousness of the situation and contacted emergency services and then updated the client's daughter.
Martha could see that he was frightened, and she comforted him until help arrived. After he went to the hospital, Martha stayed with his worried wife while their daughter was at the hospital with her dad. The client’s daughter said she was very thankful for how quickly she recognized the situation and sought help for her father. Martha has genuinely made a difference in the lives of this family.
Martha had some lovely words to say about the personal satisfaction she gets from her work with The Care Company. She said she feels like she is part of the team and has a vital role in her clients’ lives. Martha says that she feels like a member of a very supportive family. She appreciates the flexibility she has in being able to work her schedule around her duties as a busy wife and mother.
